The mic preamps sound better than the Focusrite in terms of less noise floor, EMI issues, and just sheer transparency. You load the driver on your computer, plug the UMC404 in, fire up your DAW, and it just works seamlessly & intuitively. The Behringer UMC404HD is a dream come true. I had a first gen Focusrite 6i6 that was underwhelming with its sound and a bizarre application that you had to use with your DAW that unclear both with it's manual and labeling. I'm using the Behringer driver, and it turned out I only needed to plug in the headphones into the interface and turn up my volume knobs.Lightweight, transparent sound, great features Tl dr: I've been trying to get this behringer audio interface to work for hours and everything I try seems to fail.Įdit: It's working! I was initially planing to use my laptop's internal soundcard as an output and from there I can use my headphones (they're regular headphones not the one with the 1/4" jack) to listen to my recording. Right now, my guitar is hooked up to a multi fx pedal, which goes to my interface, which goes to my computer. I got my behringer uphoria um2 audio interface today and I'm trying to get it set up on Reaper.
